A: Rudyard Kipling
B: John Milton
C: P.G. Wodehouse
D: Evelyn Waugh

He decides to take his $50,000 home. He would've said Milton...and would've been wrong. It was Kipling.

TPIR: Today's first four players are David McQuistian, Audra Nopaph, Linda Thoreau and Loathia. The first IUFB is a rowing machine.

Loathia: $700 (she calls Drew Bob!)
Linda: $750
Audra: $800
David: $1,120

ARP: $1,095, so Nopaph, after Drew mistakenly called the man as the winner at first, will play Danger Price for a guitar, a grandfather clock, skiing stuff and flatware. The Danger Price today is $2,275. Her first pick is the flatware, which is $1,185. Second pick is the guitar, which worried me a bit...$1,665. Final pick is the ski stuff and she wins! ARP for that: $987.

The next player is Erika Hanson and the second IUFB is a refrigerator/freezer.

Erika: $1,350
David: $1,275
Loathia: $1,150 (she calls Drew Bob again!)
Linda: $1,254

ARP: $1,399, so Hanson will tackle the giant Pathfinder board and try to win a Pontiac Vibe (Std., AT, ALB, Cargo, Prots). Board:

42513
76876
23148
85927
17365

The first number is 1. She says the second number is 8, which is incorrect. She chooses the toaster oven, which is either $50 or $70. She says $50...right. She then steps to the 9 as the second number
($ 1 9, _ _ _). The middle digit is either 2, 3 or 5, and she goes with 5...right again ($ 1 9, 5 _ _)! The fourth number is either 3, 7 or 8, and she goes with the 7...right again ($ 1 9, 5 7 _)! The last number is either 1 or 3, and she goes with 3...I don't think so. We now know the car is $19,571, but she must earn the win herself. She chooses the phone speaker, which is either $100 or $130. She says $100...NO. The football humidifer will decide whether she wins this car or not. It's either $25 or $35. I hope she says $35....and she does, so she wins the car, the humdifier and the oven!

Next to leave the mob is Frances Bowler and the third IUFB is a tennis ball machine.

Frances: $825
David: $900
Loathia: $950 (she starts to call Drew Bob for the third time in a row, but she catches herself)
Linda: $670

ARP: $849, meaning Bowler keeps the winning streak intact in the orange spot and will play Now or Then for a dining room. Then is March 1997. Her first pick is the Mentadent, marked at $3.91, and she says THEN...right. She then goes with the Garlique, marked at $9.99 and she says NOW, which is right. If she gets either the shampoo or the trash bags right, she'll win. She goes with the shampoo, marked at $3.99, and she says THEN...she's won! She's a very good shopper!

SSD1: The third winner today spins 60 cents. The first winner spins a quarter...and goes over with another 95 cents. Hanson gets into the Showcase with 70 cents!

The next player is Dan Davaris and the next IUFB is a game table.

Dan: $1,150
David: $700
Loathia: $1,100 (she calls Drew's name correctly this time)
Linda: $1,201

All are over.

Dan: $650
David: $575
Loathia: $651
Linda: $675

ARP: $600, so McQuistian stops the streak, and this guy from Ohio State will play Double Prices for a 2008 T@B mini trailer (Std., Rims, Stereo, AC, Refrig., Vent, Exterior). It's either $14,195 or $15,950. I say $14,195 and he agrees...WINNER!

The next player is Joanne Herman and the next IUFB is a pair of mountain bikes.

Joanne: $800
Loathia: $850
Linda: $690
Dan: $700

ARP: $795, meaning Davaris will play Any Number for luggage or a Pontiac Grand Prix (Std., Prots, Stereo, Mats, Heater). First number in the car is 2. His first number guess is 0...last number of the luggage
($ _ _ 0). Second pick is 1...last number of the piggy bank
($ _ . _ 1). He then goes with the other 2...middle number of the luggage
($ _ 2 0). He then goes with 3, the second number of the car
($ 2 3, _ _ _). Next pick is 7...middle number in the money ($ _. 7 1). Sixth pick is 8...he wins $820 worth of lugage. The car was $23,596 and the pig had $4.71 in it. I would've won the piggy bank today. He had no luck at all for the most part today.

The last player is Christine Turner and the last IUFB is a gumball machine.

Christine: $700
Joanne: $550
Loathia: $400
Linda: $740

ARP: $999, so Loathia goes to the First Four Breakfast Club while Thoreau escapes! She plays Magic Number for a desk and a computer system. She sets her magic number at $1,970. The computer costs $2,507...and the desk costs $1,230, so she wins in beautiful fashion!

SSD2: The only loser today spins 15...and 60 for 75 cents. Thoreau spins a quarter...and 75 (after a wheelie) for $1,000! The other guy can't match it, so she's in the Showcase. Her Bonus Spin is worth...nothing.

The first Showcase has a living room, sunscreen and a jet ski. Thoreau bids $19,025. Hanson then gets to see TPIR's version of "Match Game" (with the theme song)!!! First question:

Mary is so lonely that she spends her day talking to her ______.

Gwendolyn said "self" while Gabrielle said "dog". Actually, the right answer is a new TV. Second question:

John loves pizza so much, that he'll go all the way to _____ to get it.

Gwendolyn's guess was "The Moon" while Gabrielle said "Timbuktu". In your dreams, both of you. The perfect answer- Italy! Final question:

Stan is so dumb (shout "How dumb is he?!?!?" at home if you like), that he emptied out his entire savings account to buy a _____.

Gwen said "vowel" while Gabrielle said "wardrobe". NO FREAKIN' WAY- the perfect fit for this question is a new Chevy Malibu LS! Hanson goes with my gut of $25,000.

ARP for Thoreau: $17,343, so she's over. ARP for Hanson: $30,454, so she's won! Including two cars, she's taking home $51,509 in prizes! Personally, I thought this was the best episode of the season!

WOF: Prior to the start, Pat is talking with the human $5,000 space again. Tonight's players are Nancy Huber from Wilden, CT, Alan Brayton from Seattle (who is a senior student from the University of Washington studying Psychology) and Shanita Wilkens from Raleigh, NC (who is a sixth-grade science teacher).

Huber gets NOW MORE THAN EVER for $1,000, while the other lady gets JEFFERSON CITY MISSOURI for $2,000 (on the latter tossup, the man gave an incorrect response with JEFFERSON CITY ILLINOIS).

Round 1 category is Food & Drink and that $7,000 AA gift certificate is now on the wheel. When control goes to Huber, we have...

_ _ _ _ _ _ A T _-_ _ _ _ _ _

_ T R A _ _ _ R R _ _ _

...I know this now. She calls the S's for $1,800, but loses her turn with the M. The man in the middle calls a $300 B and a $450 W, then buys the E's and the I's. But he gets the Bankrupt on his next spin. Wilkens calls the C's for the $7,000 gift certificate and solves CHOCOLATE-DIPPED STRAWBERRIES to win that and go to $9,000.

(Flashback moment from 1999: At the end of an episode, a lamp from Pat's house was shown!)

Jackpot Round category is Show Biz. Early on, the man calls the R's for the 25 prize, a $2,500 Overstock.com gift certificate. Then, he calls the N for the Wild Card. Later on, when Wilkens calls the D on the Jackpot space, we have...

_ _ R R _/S _ _ N _ _ L D' S/_ _ _/_ _ _ _ _

...I got it. Does she...no. She buys the I's and the E's. After a $500 F and a $300 Y, she calls the B for $3,500 and solves JERRY SEINFELD'S BEE MOVIE for five grand and 14 grand altogether.

Big Money/Prize Puzzle Round category is Thing. After Wilkens calls the C's, we have...

_ A R _

T R _ _ _ C A L

C L _ _ A T E

...she solves WARM TROPICAL CLIMATE for $1,250 and a trip to Fiji, making her new total $24,400! She's tearing it up ever since the second Toss-Up!

Winning ID for trip: JT2996581

She then solves CHEETAH CUB to go to $27,400. Speed-Up Round category is Song Title and consonants are worth $6,000 each! After she calls the N's, we have...

_ _ _ _/_/R _ _ _ _ N _/S T _ N _

...I think I know, but she doesn't. The other lady calls a dud in P. The man calls the L's and says LOST A ROLLING STONE....NO WAY. Wilkens calls the K and steals LIKE A ROLLING STONE, giving her the highest maingame total this season, $51,400! The other lady has $1,000 and the man has the $1,000 consolation.

Let's see if our champ can keep it up. She spins the N in WIN and the category is Phrase. Starting with:

E _ _

_ _ _ S T

Wilkens calls G, C, M and I and gets...

E G _

_ _ _ S T

...it's EGO _______. She says EGO BOOST...YES! Now, the moment of truth. If what's in there is $100,000, she's the new all-time champion.....

...sadly, it's $25,000. But she still takes home $76,400, cash and prizes!

DOND: Back with us is Effren Afante. He still has a chance to win up to $3,000,000, as $1,000,000 is still on the board and the Deal Wheel will be in play tonight.

...$25,000!!! New offer: $493,000......

...NO DEAL! Next pick is #26.....

...ONE MILLION DOLLARS. Final offer: $296,000.....

...DEAL! Did he have the $750,000??.....

....NO- he made a great deal!! Now, for the Deal Wheel. The worst thing that could happen to him if he goes for it is that he leaves with $148,000. 30 spaces are on this wheel 15 are doubles, 10 are 1/2s and the other five are triples. He is REQUIRED to go for it. After spinning the wheel, he must collect a big ball from one of the models and go up a staircase. Then, he must drop it down a Plinko-like structure, where it will land on the wheel, and basically this wheel follows the rules of a California lottery game show called "The Big Spin". Thus, for the result to be final, the space landed on must have the ball when the wheel completely stops. After he lands his ball....

...he loses. But he still leaves with $148,000, which is still a lot of money!

Our other player tonight is Anthony Moreira from Miami, FL. He's a huge fan of "The Office". His case of destiny is #13.
