Widespread sources yesterday reported that ESPN personality and "Stump the Schwab" host Stuart Scott had a cancerous tumor removed during an emergency appendectomy on November 26th.
Scott was working ESPN's coverage of a Monday Night Football game when he had to have the surgery. Surrounding tissue was also removed. He is scheduled to begin chemotherapy sometime this winter.
Scott is expected to host ESPN's Friday NBA doubleheader tonight, as well as the one on ABC on Christmas Day.
