Family Feud: As of last Monday, new episodes have resumed. I picked a good day to resume progress on this show, because we have an all-female family named the Dunns looking to become the first undefeated champions of 2008 (and seventh overall on the season). So far, they have $41,565 to their credit. They are led by Rachel, and she's joined by Kellee, Brittany, Joy and Leslee. Trying to deny them an undefeated title are the Payton family, led by Chaz and accompanied by Chase (he and Chaz are twins!), Britney, Sheila and Wendell.

Opening question: Name some news a wife gives her husband that hits him like a bombshell. Starting with:

1. She's pregnant (63, Rachel)
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

Naturally, the champs play. Starting with Kellee, she says cheating on a man...#3 (6)! Brittany answers leaving a guy...#2 (19)! Joy then goes with being in a car crash...bottom answer (2)! Leslee's first guess is going back to work...first mistake. Back to Rachel, who next says she's sick...not there either. Kellee tries to save the team with that she's broke because she spent too much on her credit card...#5 (2)! Brittany's next guess is being gay...#6 (2)! To sweep the board, Joy thinks #4 is going out partying without a man...sorry. But Chaz can't get someone passed on (4) either, so the ladies keep the 94 points (he said a lady's baby doesn't belong to a man)!

Second question: Places where men are tempted to spend their entire paychecks. Starting with:

1. Bar/club (59, Kellee)
2. Casino/Vegas (28, Chase)
3.
4.
5.

The champs play again. Brittany next says a car dealership...no. Joy next goes with a vacation...no. Leslee then says a clothing store...all stores and malls are #4 (4)! Rachel next says a baseball game...three strikes. Chaz tries again to steal with the racetrack...sure enough, that's #3 (7) for 91 points. The bottom answer was brothel (2).

Double: What part of Bill Clinton does Hillary says is first attractive to her? Starting with:

1. Looks/face (50, Brittany)
2.
3.
4.
5.

The champs decide to pass this question this time. Starting with Sheila, she says intelligence...#2 (22)! Wendell says the money...no. Chaz's next guess is leadership...also not there. Chase then tries charisma...I'm afraid that's three strikes in a row for them. This steal is for 144 points and the lead. Rachel tries to keep the lead on her side with job ambition...NO, so the Paytons now lead with 235. Rest of board:

3. Saxophone/music (8)
4. Hands (6)
5. Sense of humor (6)

Triple: Super Match question- Smooth as _____. Sheila says rock...NO WAY. Joy gets control for the champs with the #2 answer of smooth as a baby's bottom (18). Leslee then guesses the NUMBER ONE answer of smooth as silk (69). Rachel then says water...not #3 or #4. Kellee then tries ice...NO. Brittany then tries to save the team with fur...ABSOLUTELY NOT. Chaz then says butter...#3 for the championship at 496 (6)! The bottom answer was glass (4).

Fast Money: Chaz and Britney only manage 97 for $485.

WOF: Wrapping up a fine week here, our players tonight are JP Allen (in the yellow) from Park Ridge, IL (who is an ice cream artist), Amanda Fowler from Mooreville, MS (who is a high school and junior high school librarian) and Mary Katherine-Smith from Marietta, GA (who is a junior at the University of Florida studying Journalism).

Tonight's male player gets BAJA CALIFORNIA for $1,000, while Fowler quickly gets SPRING FLING for $2,000.

Round 1 category is Movie Title, and for the last Mexico trip offered this week, it's to Acapulco, worth $5,800. After Fowler calls the S's, we have...

...I know this already, since it was released a few weeks ago. After buying the E's, she calls an $800 D, a $2,500 N, and then solves DR. SEUSS' HORTON HEARS A WHO! for another $8,300 and $10,300 total.

Campbell's Soup Jackpot Round category is Song Lyrics. After Smith buys the O's, we have...

IT'S/_ _/_ I N _/O _/_ O _ N

...she has the trip in her bank at this point, but she calls a dud in G. The man hits Bankrupt. Fowler calls a $500 W, a $350 F, but calls a dud in L while on Jackpot. Smith calls a $600 M, a Y for the $1,000 cash prize from Transitions and then solves IT'S MY KIND OF TOWN for $3,200 and the Acapulco trip, giving her $9,000 in cash and trip.

O Cedar Big Money/Prize Puzzle Round category is Food & Drink. After Fowler buys the A's, we have...

_ A S _ A

...she calls an $800 V and solves PASTA PRIMAVERA for another $1,850 and a trip to Rome, for a new total of $18,050!

WINNING ID FOR TRIP: RM13794

The man then solves PANCAKE BREAKFAST to quadruple his one grand. Next category is Person. After he calls the S, we have...

_ A S T - T A _ _ _ _ _

A _ _ T _ _ _ E E _

...I've got it. He calls a $400 F and then cleans out the vowels with the I's, the O and the U. He then calls the L for another $300 and then solves FAST-TALKING AUCTIONEER for another $1,600 and $5,600 total. Next category is Place. After he buys the E's early on, we have...

_ _ _ _

E _ T _ _ _ _ E

...I think I've got it. He calls a $450 R and buys the A's, then calls the N's for another $2,400 but then hits a Bankrupt. Fowler calls the M and steals MAIN ENTRANCE for another $1,000 and $19,050 total.

Speed-Up Round category is Show Biz and consonants are worth $1,600 apiece. Smith calls the S's at the start and we have...

S _ S _ _ _

_ _ _

...she says SISTER ACT...bullseye! That's $3,200 more for her, meaning her final total on the night is $12,200 in cash and stuff. The man has $5,600 and Fowler is our champion with $19,050!

Unless I'm mistaken, this is the last show before the Chicago road trip begins on Monday. Let's go there on a positive note. She spins the last zero and the category is Event. Starting with:

_ _ _ T T _ N _/_/_ _ _

Fowler calls M, G, H and A and gets...

_ _ _ T T _ N G/A/_ _ _

...only obvious stuff. Without any help on the bottom word, she can't get QUITTING A JOB for another $30,000.

Duel: Will Thomas Bundy leave with $120,000? The answer rests on this question:

As of 2007, which fast food chain had the most stores in China?

A: McDonald's
B: KFC
C: Domino's Pizza
D: Subway

He says McDonald's...

A: McDonald's
B: KFC
C: Domino's Pizza
D: Subway

...no. It was KFC.

Believe it or not, he wants to keep going. His next opponent will be either:

Whitney Hagen: Richmond Hills, GA (product manager)
Lisa Beam: Ventura, CA (administrative assistant)
Gabriel: Los Angeles

He goes with Hagen. Opening question:

Which isn't one of the original eight Crayola Crayon colors?

A: Red
B: White
C: Brown
D: Violet

Both max out. The answer was white. Second question:

Who is Calvin Broadus?

A: Snoop Doggy Dogg
B: Busta Rhymes
C: Chamillionaire
D: 50 Cent

The challenger says both SDD and Busta Rhymes, while the champ only has SDD...SDD is right to give the champ the lead, 7-6. Third question:

On average, the human heart beats approximately how many times each day?

A: 10,000
B: 50,000
C: 100,000
D: 300,000

After locking in 100,000, Bundy uses his Pressure Button. The lady locks in that choice and 300,000...100 grand is right to give the guy a two chip lead. Next:

Which of these nations doesn't share a border with Mexico?

A: Belize
B: El Salvador
C: Guatemala
D: U.S.A.

After locking in everything but our country, she uses her Pressure Button. In the end, both lock in everything but our land...El Salvador is right. That means the champ is still ahead by two, 5-3. Next:

Which exercise uses equipment like the "Cadillac", "Reformer" and the "Ladder Barrel"?

A: Yoga
B: Pilates
C: Kickboxing
D: Swimming

The champ maxes out while the challenger only locks in Pilates and Kickboxing. If neither one of her two choices are right, the champ retains...

A: Yoga
B: Pilates
C: Kickboxing
D: Swimming

...but it's Pilates, so we have a tie ballgame at two apiece. Next:

Which of these Academy Award-winning actresses previously modeled for Victoria's Secret?

A: Charlize Theron
B: Halle Berry
C: Geena Davis
D: Cher

The champ locks in Theron and Cher, while the lady locks in the other two. The right answer is...

A: Charlize Theron
B: Halle Berry
C: Geena Davis
D: Cher

...Davis, so we have our biggest loser so far on the show in Mr. Bundy. The lady gets $20,000, but could have twice as much after this question:

Which of these states has never been hit with a tornado?

A: Rhode Island
B: Hawaii
C: Alaska
D: All 50 states have been hit

She says Hawaii...

A: Rhode Island
B: Hawaii
C: Alaska
D: All 50 states have been hit

...but it's all of them.

Marcus Welch (a handyman from Grand Rapids, MI) joins the contestant pool and she challenges him. First question:

Which city's current NFL team is named in honor of an Edgar Allen Poe poem?

A: New York
B: Baltimore
C: New Orleans
D: Indianapolis

Both are right with Baltimore. Second question:

Who's the youngest person to win a regular acting Oscar?

A: Tatum O'Neal
B: Jodie Foster
C: Dakota Fanning
D: Anna Paquin

After locking in O'Neal, the challenger uses his Pressure Button. The champ covers everything but Fanning...O'Neal is right to give the man a 10-8 lead. Third question:

The Mexican holiday "Cinco de Mayo" commemorates what?

A: Invention of the Margarita cocktail
B: French defeat at the Battle of Puebla
C: Independence from Spain
D: End of the Spanish-American War

Welch locks in C and D, while the champ locks in B and D. The answer is...

A: Invention of the Margarita cocktail
B: French defeat at the Battle of Puebla
C: Independence from Spain
D: End of the Spanish-American War

...the Battle of Puebla, so Hagen's done it again. She now has $25,000 in her bank, and could make it 30 if she gets this right:

In 2006, what happened to Elvis' Graceland?

A: It got its own ZIP code
B: Named National Historic Landmark
C: Made Architectural Digest cover
D: It was sold

She says the ZIP code...

A: It got its own ZIP code
B: Named National Historic Landmark
C: Made Architectural Digest cover
D: It was sold

...but it was the landmark title.

She will keep going. Bunmi Zalon is our new player, and she's an advertising manager from Berkeley, CA. She decides to play against Gabriel. Here's the second question:

Which one of these TV stars is the daughter of a French millionaire?

A: Evangeline Lilly
B: Mariska Hargitay
C: Julia Louis-Dreyfus
D: Sarah Michelle Gellar

The champ leads 10-9 at this point. After locking in everything but the main star of "The New Adventures of Old Christine", she uses her Pressure Button. The man locks in the choice she didn't choose as well as Hargitay. If the right answer is Lilly or Gellar, Hagen retains the title; if it's Julia Louis-Dreyfus, she loses. Otherwise, we keep playing. The answer is...

A: Evangeline Lilly
B: Mariska Hargitay
C: Julia Louis-Dreyfus
D: Sarah Michelle Gellar

...the one she didn't choose, so we have a new champion. And it likely means no money will be handed out tonight. Darn. With $2,500 for Gabriel to start, here's his Max Question:

How many bathrooms are there in the White House?

A: 10
B: 21
C: 35
D: 53

He says 35...

A: 10
B: 21
C: 35
D: 53

...he doubles up to five grand and plays again.

The new player is Dave McGill, a pastor from Denver. He challenges Zalon...and beats her for another $10,000. Here comes his second Max Question:

B: Martial Arts
C: Spitting
D: Using Chopsticks

...but it's spitting.

The new player is Jonathon, a French teacher from Charleston, SC. If the show's back the next time, he will as well to face Lisa Beam.
