TPIR: Episode 4703K begins with Michael Cetera, Heather Roberts, Joel Marquez and the U.S. Navy's Katherine Savant. The first IUFB is a set of water inflatables (Manuela).
Michael: BUCK (OOPS)
Heather, who's celebrating her 31st birthday, plays Freeze Frame for a trip to Hong Kong (Gwendolyn). The best choices on the rotating board today are $5,015, $8,446 and $9,550. She goes with her gut of $5,015...she underbid. Instead, it was my gut of $8,446.
Fifth is Barbara Rabeneay and the second IUFB on the turntable is a washer/dryer (Gwen).
Joel plays More or Less for a car stereo system marked at $1,785 (Rachael), a sofa marked at just $650 (Gwen), a crystal vase marked at three grand (Gwen) and a Jeep Compass (Std., Paint, #26E, Rallye, Stereo)(Manuela). Joel first says Less for the stereo system...that's $1,342. He then says More for the sofa...$1,099. He then says Less for the vase...but that's $3,685! Tough break. The ARP of the Jeep was $24,080.
After that, Nathan Schrake goes down to Contestant's Row and the third IUFB is an electric bicycle (Rachael).
Barbara plays Pick a Pair for an Ashley bedroom (Gwen; I clearly saw part of the Big Wheel on its mirror) worth $3,899. Products today are Tarn-X, Hefty plastic cups, Quaker oatmeal, Clorox 2 bleach, grape juice and organic romaine hearts. She starts off with the plastic cups...$3.49. She then thinks the other $3.49 item is the juice...but that's $4.49. She tries again with $3.49 and then tries the oatmeal...but she should've stuck with the juice, because that's also $4.49. The other $3.49 item was the organic food and the Tarn-X and the Clorox both cost $6.99.
SHOWCASE SHOWDOWN #1:
Heather ($896): $.60
Barbara ($1,199): 55 + 50 = OVER (Drew mistakenly said she had $.95- DOH!)
Joel ($5,882): 35 + 35 = $.70
Joel gets to the Showcase.
Coming on down now is Eric Wilson and the fourth IUFB is a day sailer (Manuela).
Michael, who's got a lot of energy, will NOT be playing for a car; instead, he'll play Pushover for a 50" plasma HDTV and a lift console (Gwen & Rachael). Board:
I say $7,255 while he goes with $5,699...
...we're both wrong! It was $6,994, so he pushed a block too many.
Next up from Rich's list is Lillian Brandyberry and the next IUFB is four Daisy Rock guitars (the show's theme is being played on them by a band called The Ramees!).
Eric plays Plinko, with today's SPs being modeled by Rachael.
1. Stove range
IS NOT: $52
PICK: 5- $82
2. Libman mop
IS NOT: $20
PICK: 2- $10
3. Estee Lauder Sensuous
IS NOT: $50
PICK: 5- $70
4. Ear warmer headphones
IS NOT: $45
PICK: 5- $35
For the second straight time, only two Plinko Chips will be used. The extra Plinko chip is brought to Eric by Gwen.
1. DUD (Left)
2. WINS $1,000 (Left)
Thank goodness he got that extra Plinko Chip, or else we probably would've had the absolute worst Plinko playing ever.
A lady named Shirley then tells Rich to call on the day's last participant, John St. Clair, and the final IUFB is an HP laptop (Manuela). Katherine's been here the whole show.
ARP: $700, so the Navy lady finally makes it!
She now plays That's Too Much for a Ford Focus S (Fairly loaded)(Gwen).
Did Katherine say the magic words here?...
...UNFORTUNATELY, SHE INSTEAD STOPPED AT THE THIRD PRICE OF $20,155, SO WE HAVE A SEMI-WINLESS SHOW. The ARP was $17,812.
No problems with the lineup today; too bad I can't say the same for the gameplay.
SHOWCASE SHOWDOWN #2:
Katherine ($700): 45 + 55 = WINS $1,000!
Eric ($3,211): Dime + 70 = $.80
Michael ($3,695): 50 + 15 = $.65 (he fell on the floor when he was finished)
In Katherine's Bonus Spin...DO YOU BELIEVE IT, $25,000, MAKING HER THE THIRD $26,000 WINNER OF THE SEASON, AND THE FIRST ONE OF 2009!!! That makes up for her painful That's Too Much loss and an overall semi-skunking today!
(For some reason, most of this season's Bonus Spin wins have come after any kind of a Winless Show. The $25,000 graphic now has fireworks!)
Video Bonus: $26K Showcase Showdown Win #3
The first Showcase has outdoor furniture (Manuela), swimwear (Gwen), Louis Votton luggage (Rachael) and a trip to Anguilla (Rachael near the audience screen).
KATHERINE PASSES TO JOEL; JOEL BIDS $15,000 ON TRIP SHOWCASE
MY BID FOR TRIP SHOWCASE: $20,000
For Katherine, we have nothing but Mini Cooper-themed prizes. We've got a small electric-powered Mini Cooper Convertible for kids (Rachael), a Mini Cooper desk (Manuela), and...what else? A Mini Cooper (Std., Paint, Stripes)(Rachael).
KATHERINE BIDS $22,000 ON MINI COOPER SHOWCASE
MY BID FOR MINI COOPER SHOWCASE: $25,000
DIFFERENCE: $2,158- WIN!
Katherine's big recovery adds up to a grand total of $50,858 in cash and prizes!

WOF: Today is Andy Nguyen's birthday! Let's give him something to be happy about. Thing is the night's first Toss-Up category:
_ _ P | _ F
_ H _ | _ O _ _ D
Christina is incorrect with TOP OF THE WORLD (the sound effects people even jumped the gun on the win cue!).
M A P | O F
_ H _ | _ O R L D
Scott solves MAP OF THE WORLD for $1,000. If the category had been Phrase instead, Christina would've been right.
$5,000-WINNING ID #1: JS30560
$5,000-WINNING ID #2: NS06826
Scott Sakowitz (Longwood, FL)- Zoology major at University of Florida (originally a Physics & Biology major)
Emily Green (Merritt Island, FL; originally from Ohio)- Stay-at-home mom
Christina Davis (Naples, FL; originally from Korea and Masachussetts)- Chef
$2,000 Toss-Up category is What Are You Doing; it's a one-wordy:
_ _ _ D R E _ M I _ G
Christina is right this time with DAYDREAMING for $2,000.
After a trip to Spain from Insight Vacations worth $9,500 goes on the wheel, the Prize Puzzle Round category is Place. After Christina buys the A's, here's the board:
_ R O _ _ _ A _
_ S _ A N _
O A S _ S
I have it now. After buying the I's to clean out the vowels, she calls an $800 D and two L's for another $5,000, but then calls a critical dud in M to likely leave well over $10K on the table (including $7,550 in her bank).
_ R O _ I _ A L
I S L A N D
O A S I S
Scott then steals TROPICAL ISLAND OASIS for a $7,000 trip to Barbados at the Almond Beach Village, giving him eight grand in cash and trip.
DUDS: M (Christina)
WINNING ID FOR TRIP: DA01468
Advil PM sponsors tonight's Jackpot Round; category is Same Name. Scott starts off with two T's for a $1,000 Vegas.com gift certificate. Later, after Emily calls three B's to reach three grand, she critically hits Lose a Turn. Christina then calls the Y for $800...
B R A S S | &
B E L L Y
B _ T T _ N S
...and she then solves BRASS & BELLY BUTTONS to go to $3,000.
DUDS: I (Scott)
LOSEs: 1 (Emily)
Gold Bond Mystery Round category is Proper Name. Emily immediately picks up the Spain trip with two T's. After she buys the E's, let's see the board:
_ _ T _ R | _ _ E _ E R
_ _ T _ E R _ _ _ _
He's the star of FOX's "24". She next calls the S for the Wild Card...
_ _ T _ R | _ _ E _ E R
S _ T _ E R _ _ _ _
...and she solves ACTOR KIEFER SUTHERLAND for $10,600 in cash and trip!
$3,000 Toss-Up category is Occupation:
_ _ S T _ R
C H _ _
Emily only gets the first word in time. Scott then solves MASTER CHEF to take the lead back by $400 with 11 grand. After he puts up the T's and the R's, Speed-Up Round category is Phrase and the remaining consonants are worth $1,800 apiece. After Emily calls the C...
_ E T | T _ E | R E C _ R _
_ T R _ _ _ _ T
...she's incorrect by a letter with GET THE RECORD STRAIGHT (my guess as well). Christina then calls the sole G in the last word but is also off by a letter with BET THE RECORD STRAIGHT. Scott then duds out with L, as does Emily with B. After Christina repeats the L, Scott calls two S's...
S E T | T _ E | R E C _ R _
S T R _ _ G _ T
...he wins the match with SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT for another $8,400 and $19,400 total in cash and trip! That means Emily's Wild Card is no good, but she still leaves with $10,600 in cash and trip. Christina leaves with $3,000.
So far, 33 grand in cash and trips has been won tonight.
DUDS: B (Emily), L (Scott; repeated once by Christina)
Big Money Round: This week's car is a Ford Explorer. Scott spins the M in GAME and the category is Thing. Starting with:
_ _ N T _ _ E
_ L _ T _ _ N _
He calls CDMA and gets...
_ _ N T A _ E
C L _ T _ _ N _
...he hasn't heard of VINTAGE CLOTHING, so he loses. I hope he didn't lose the 100 grand on Andy's birthday...
...well, he loses the Explorer.
