They end the week by sharing in four grand!
Jeopardy!: Can Alyssa McRae become the second three-time champion in two weeks? Not if these other two players can help it:
Daphna Atias (originally from Kentwood, MI)- High school English teacher
Tyler Crosby (Ithaca, NY)- Barista and bookseller
Opening categories:
CIVIL WAR GENERALS
BEST ACTOR OSCAR WINNERS (the year and a movie role are given on each clue)
"The New York Times"- STYLE
SOUVENIRS
CITY SPELLING (each correct response must be spelled)
TALK LIKE "DIS"
After Best Actor Oscar Winners, Style and Souvenirs get cleared out before the first break, both of the ladies are tied for the lead at $2,200 while Crosby only has $600. We conclude the round with the Daily Double under the $1,000 Civil War Generals clue, and Crosby's in control of that with $3,200; Atias has four grand and the champ barely leads with $4,400. His wager is $1,200. To tie the game heading into the next round:
In 1863, The White House mourned a Confederate general, Benjamin Helm; he'd married into this Kentucky clan.
"Who are the Hatfields?"...no. If he had thought about Abraham Lincoln, he would've known it was the Todds. That means he ends the round with two grand.
ATTEMPTED LACH TRASH: $800
UNATTEMPTED LACH TRASH: $2,400
TOTAL LACH TRASH: $3,200

I tried to be positive, but for just a little aversion therapy, here's what it looks like when the arteries of the heart scar just before they cause a heart attack; the buildup here is called this.
"What is Atherosclerosis?"...acceptable for plaque to take her to $8,200! Soon after, Crosby's now leading as he finds the other one under the $1,600 Original Titles clue with $9,600; Atias is down to $7,000 and McRae's $200 behind her. His wager is $2,000.
Titles considered for this 1925 classic included "Incident At West Egg" & "The High-Bouncing Lover".
"The Great Gatsby" goes unsaid by this guy, dropping him to $7,600. At the end of the round, he uses the High School Strategy on the Shellfish category.

If I were the champ, I wouldn't bet a dime in FJ!.
FJ! CATEGORY: Music Words.
Before it acquired its musical meaning in the early 20th C., it was baseball slang for "pep" or "energy".
Alyssa McRae thought "What is jazz?"...right to add another $601, giving her $7,401. Daphna Atias...is wrong with jumpy and she didn't bet a thing, so she might fall a buck short of the championship. Tyler Crosby misses with "What is adagio"...and risked $4,001, so thanks to wisely not listening to my $0 wager, McRae has retained the title! Her three-day total: $50,402.
