This week's guest judge is Mia Michaels.
The opening team were Brandon Bryant & Janette Manrara (1-888-TEMPO-01). They had to dance a Cha-Cha-Cha to "Hush Hush; Hush Hush" by The Pussycat Dolls. Nigel thought it was the best CCC he had ever seen on the show! Mary put them on the Hot Tamale Train. Mia said the two had a lot of potential. I gave them a perfect 10 to start the show!
Trying to seriously follow that were Kupono Aweau & Kayla Radomski (1-888-TEMPO-02). They got to do a Contemporary routine to "Eyes On Fire" by Blue Foundation. Nigel said Kupono revitalized himself with this week's performance; he also said they complimented each other. Mary said they deserved to stay on the Hot Tamale Train. Mia said everything in the performance was brilliant. 8 out of 10 for that one.
Third were Evan Kasprzak & Randi-Strong Evans (1-888-TEMPO-03) with a Broadway performance to "Rich Man's Frug" from the play "Sweet Charity". Nigel was happy with Randi but not so much with Evan. Mary said they did fairly well with the routine, espescially with their character. Mia agreed with Nigel that Evan didn't do enough in this week's performance given his height. I gave them a 7.
The middle performance spot went to Jason Glover & Caitlin Kinney (1-888-TEMPO-04). They were forced to do a Pasa Doble to "Creator" by Santigold. Nigel said it was a weird number but said both were fully committed to the routine. Mary said it was fairly average. Mia wasn't a fan of the tin foil Caitlin was wearing for this performance. I also gave them a 7.
Performing a Hip-Hop routine next were Phillip Chebeeb & Jeanine Mason (1-888-TEMPO-05). Their background song was "Love Lockdown" by Kanye West. Nigel said they should remain chained for life, because he thought that was very good. Mary thought it was very creative. Mia, however, said it was sloppy at times. Score: 8.
Next were Ade Obayomi & Melissa Sandvig (1-888-TEMPO-06). They did something new- a Classical Pas de deux to "Provofiev's Suite" from the play "Romeo & Juliet". Nigel said both did a beautiful job. Mary loved it, and Mia said it was danced as well as it could have. I also hit them with an 8.
Finally, the new team of Vitolio Jeune & Karla Garcia (1-888-TEMPO-07) did the Quick Step to "Puttin' on the Ritz" by Rufus Wainwright. Nigel said it was very entertaining, espescially Karla's quick change part with her dress, although the lines did detract from their performance. Mary said they brought that dance to life, and Mia said Vitolio stepped it up. 7 out of 10 for them.
During tomorrow's results show, Kelly Clarkson will perform!
