"American Idol" 4/6

Remember, this is Lennon/McCartney Songbook Week.

1. Aaron Kelly- "The Long and Winding Road"

All four judges were NOT fans of the arrangement because they felt it was boring. Additionally, Kara DioGuardi said Aaron has NOT made any progress since he first appeared on TV.

2. Katie Stevens- "Let It Be"

Randy Jackson said it was her best-ever performance! Ellen DeGeneres said she was a perfect example of changing up a song's lyrics without disrespecting the song. Kara & Simon Cowell also thought she did very well!

3. Andrew Garcia- "Can't Buy Me Love" (with a guitar)

Randy said he was really solid. Ellen said he made the perfect song choice. Kara said she didn't see anything new from Andrew this week besides his breakdancing and Simon said the arrangement overpowered him quite often.

4. Michael Lynche- "Eleanor Rigby"

Randy thought he was great for the most part. Ellen said he handles every side of himself well on this stage. Kara said that performance was full of fire, but Simon thought it resembled nothing more than a musical.

5. Crystal Bowersox- "Come Together"

Randy said she was once again very solid. Ellen said she continues to make older songs current. Kara said it was one of her favorite performances to date from Crystal and Simon thought that was a radio-quality performance.

6. Tim Urban- "All My Loving" (w/ the guitar)

Randy said he did well for the first time in a few weeks. According to Ellen, he made the perfect song choice this week and it was his second-best performance behind the one for "Hallelujah".
Kara said playing with that guitar continues to work for him. And Simon said he did a good job as well.

7. Casey James- "Jealous Guy" (w/ the guitar)

Randy said he was impressive this week. Ellen thought it was his best performance to date! However, Kara said he showed some vunerability. Simon disagreed with her by telling Casey he agreed with Ellen!

8. Siobhan Magnus- "Across the Universe"

The entire panel thought she hit the bullseye with that song!

9. Lee DeWyze- "Hey Jude" (w/ the guitar)

During this performance, a bagpipe player came down the steps; everybody thought it was hilarious!

Next week's mentor will be last year's runner-up, Adam Lambert!
