LMaD: This is their doubleheader week. Episode #1 begins with the couple of Cindy & Frencho (he's dressed as a Mexican); they've been together for 22 years. Frencho gets his choice of the cash or trip envelopes, and he's going with the money...they passed up a trip to the River Terrace Inn in Napa Valley worth $5,286. And here are the rest of the clues for this deal, with some new clue monitors:

Curtain #1: KITCHEN
Curtain #2: TRUCK

They keep their cash the whole way through...which is $1,000. But let's see if they could've done much better with either of the curtains:

Curtain #1: Counter kitchen appliance suite, including a year's worth of Seattle's Best Coffee ($2,687)
Curtain #2: ZONK

Deal #2 is Rap Me a Deal, and the first person chosen is Scott Dreher from Fontana, CA (who's dressed as a big chicken). The rap sounds like it's fishing-themed, and it regards what's behind Curtain #3. He turns down what's in one of Wayne Brady's pockets, which was nine...$20 bills, resulting in him winning a beach sports package worth $1,880. The second contestant selected is Ana (dressed as a baby), and she thinks Rap #2 has something to do with a phone behind the big box. Because she needs a phone so bad, she takes that instead of what's in Wayne's other pocket...it's indeed a phone, but of the giant ZONK variety. That will cost her four grand.

Harvilene from Palmdale, CA (but originally from Anniston, AL), is ready for the Green/Red Box Deal. After initially turning down both boxes, she buys the green one for her entire $600...if she had cut her bankroll in half for the red box, she would've added to the $300 a Nikon digital SLR camera worth $1,790, but she's instead won the KIA Soul ($16,080)(Curtain #1)- PERFECT DEAL!

As we start the next deal, Claudia & Solenn both pass the big box to Austin, and he turns down $500 to keep whatever's back there...a stainless-steel BBQ with some tools worth a total of $2,214. Claudia secondly wants Curtain #2...and the middle curtain contains a bedroom that includes the Samsung 32" LCD HDTV worth $4,048! That leaves Solenn with Curtain #3, and she's offered $500 originally, but after listening to her helpers in the audience, she sells the curtain for $600...because had she bought it, they all would've been going to yodeling camp- PERFECT DEAL #2!

It's Ca$h Marbles time for Shalonda (dressed as a graduate) & Fofoga.

Round 1:

Shalonda: $500
Fofoga: $500

Round 2:

Fofoga: TRIPLE
Shalonda: TRIPLE

Round 3:

Shalonda: DOUBLE
Fofoga: DOUBLE

FINAL ROUND:

Fofoga: LOSES $2,800
Shalonda: WINS $4.5K

Fofoga quickly waves off Curtain #1...the good news is that the KIA ISN'T there anymore, but the bad news is that there was a $16,100 Toyota Corolla. And she opts NOT to go for the Big Deal of the Day, either.

THE BIG DEAL: Austin has a chance at Monday's first Big Deal, which is worth $23,495. His gut tells him to pick Door #3...he completely misses it, but he's still going on a vacation to the Moon Dance Cliffs in Jamaica valued at $8,288.

Door #1: 2011 Ford Mustang & $500 gas card
Door #2: Suzuki Quad Sport ATV ($3,899)

(Note: For most of this season, the BD cue is only played if a BD is won. Previously, it was used whether the BD was won or not.)

Episode #2:

The first deal on this show involves a Close-Up Picture. The prize in question is behind Curtain #1, and Nicole Sullivan (not the actress/comedian, obviously) from San Francisco can either have that or what's inside the envelope. She keeps the curtain and gives the envelope to Bryan (dressed as an astronaut)...and that picture was showing part of one of the wheels attached to this 2011 Nissan Versa 1.8S Hatchback (Std., Mats) worth $14,425! After that disappointment for Bryan, he's told that Curtain #2 also has some kind of wheels. But he keeps the envelope...and gets sent to a poisonous snake festival. He misses out on...a Suzuki GS 500 motorcycle worth $4,999.

Carlos (dressed as "Where's Waldo?") & Brandi (who's pregnant) then see three pieces of jewelry on a tray Jonathan Mangum just brought out. After he picks the necklace in the #3 spot, Brandi trades it in for what's in the silver small box (Tiffany Coyne) in front of Curtain #2...that necklace was of the diamond variety and was worth $3,892, but they have won a pair of designer sunglasses worth $735; jewelry piece #1 was valued at $2,081. Afterwards, they give them right back for whatever's behind Curtain #1...but they win NOTHING but an ineffective Z-38 workout from Jonathan.

(Note: Part of this deal was edited out of the broadcast, and they wound up with a ZONK wagon ride in addition to the sunglasses.)

Next to make a deal is Shannon; Tiffany's holding three designer purses, each of which has money in them. After choosing the red one, she rejects Curtain #2...inside her bag is $400 for a total of $865 in cash & bag, but behind the middle curtain was a chocolate brown bedroom that included the Toshiba 42" LCD HDTV and a three-month Netflix subscription, all worth $7,276. This deal will be continued.

Our next contestant is Mildred (who's a full-time student dressed as grapes). She's playing Finish Line for the following:

Curtain #1: Kitchen appliances ($2,095)
Curtain #2: Pennsylvania spa retreat at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort (also includes two rounds of golf)($4,734)
Curtain #3: 2011 Hyundai Accent GS (Std., AT, Mats)($14,510)

1. 3 OF HEARTS
2. ACE OF DIAMONDS
3. 10 OF CLUBS- STRIKE ONE
4. KING OF CLUBS- STRIKE TWO; QUITS WITH $500
5. 9 OF CLUBS

The next three traders are Richard (dressed as a SCUBA diver), Linda (who's wearing some sunglasses) & Kate (who's wearing a bathing suit with a couple of bananas on it). They each get a choice of three envelopes that each have some foreign currency on them:

Richard: 22,346 Japanese Yen
Linda: 2,499 Hong Kong Dollars
Kate: 16,396 Indian Rupees

Richard turns down Curtain #1...that had a Bull stainless-steel BBQ worth $2,149, so he leaves with $262. The second curtain could go to Linda, and it will...at the cost of $322, behind Curtain #2 this time is a maple wood pool table, a bar set, a chess game set & the Panasonic 46" LCD HDTV, plus a flat-panel speaker system & a 16 GB iPod Nano, a wreck room package worth $5,028! Finally, Kate doesn't play the odds and wants what's in the small box (Jonathan)...good thing- since she didn't want $352, she's won a stay at the Holiday Ann SunSpree Resort in Aruba worth $7,692!

Returning to the purses, Fallon selects the black one, leaving behind what was in the Marc Jacobs beige hobo bag...there were three $20 bills in there, for a total value of $558. After that, she rolls the dice on the big box...there was a grand in her Michael Kors leather tote bag, which made it a total retail value of $1,498, but she's going on a one-day luxury day spa experience valued at $2,230.

THE BIG DEAL: The grand prize this time has a price tag of $23,002, and Nicole's GIVING BACK HER CAR; she didn't check it out when she originally won it, so maybe we shouldn't have been surprised she has done so. Door #2 has the Bank Vault behind it, and that's what she has chosen. Door #1 had...a MacBook Air and an iPhone 4 worth $2,198, so GAME OVER, right? WRONG- SHE'S WON THE BIG MONEY, AND THE VAULT'S REVEALED SECOND!!!!! It's nice that this version of the show's mixing up the BD door reveal orders this season! Left behind in Door #3 was a $7,999 spa.

(Note: For those of you who may be wondering, I have seen at least one other player give back a car on the '70s syndicated version of this show and won the BD.)

Video Bonus: A BIG gamble pays off on "LMaD"!

And he's being reunited with four members of his 5th Grade class for the first episode of each night's CMT doubleheader- Devon, Katie, Nick & Rebecca; John will play the game first. The classmates here are Danielle, Jordan & Ty, and here are the week's first eight categories:

1st Grade Math
1st Grade Nature
2nd Grade Spelling
2nd Grade Vocabulary
3rd Grade U.S. Geography
3rd Grade Science
4th Grade Social Studies
4th Grade Animal Science

FIRST CLASSMATE: Ty (who swam the 2.4 mile "Dwight Crum Pier Swim" when he was nine)
OPENING SUBJECT: Math

How many odd numbers are between zero & 10?

A: Three
B: Five
C: Seven

After talking it out, John says five...correct.

SUBJECT #2: Spelling

What letter comes last alphabetically in the name of the following month- March?

He triples his money with R.

SUBJECT #3: U.S. Geography

What river forms the border between Arizona & California?

He's thinking of the Colorado River, but he uses the Peek and Ty ends up agreeing with him, so that's what he locks in...he now has five grand.

SECOND CLASSMATE: Danielle (whose dad is an attorney)
SUBJECT #4: Social Studies

In the 1930s, what military reservation in Kentucky became the designated location for the bulk of America's gold reserve?

He's pretty sure about Fort Knox...that's $12.5K!

SUBJECT #5: Animal Science

Written by British conservationist Jane Goodall, the book In the Shadow of Man primarily documents her observations in what primate species?

Because John's drawing a blank, he activates his Copy. Danielle wrote down apes...NOT ACCEPTABLE. The right answer was chimpanzees, meaning John should've gotten that category out of the way to start this game.

SUBJECT #6: Science

Which of the following is the common name for the mineral known as Halite?

A: Baking soda
B: Salt

C: Sugar

His guess is baking soda...incorrect. That's actually salt.

SUBJECT #7: Vocabulary

By definition, how many people perform in a solo performance?

He gets one.

FINAL SUBJECT: Nature

T or F: Walnuts grow on trees.

Thanks to remembering one of his friends on a walnut farm, he knows that's a True statement. And he listens to his mother on going for $15K.

BONUS QUESTION SUBJECT: Astronomy

What constellation in the northern sky is made up of five stars and named for a mortal queen in Greek Mythology who was obsessed with beauty?

After he rules out The Big Dipper, his final answer turns out to be Nike...NO. I would've also missed with Orion- it was Cassiopeia, and that sends him home with the $250 gift card.

The nightcap panel consists of Armaan, Jenni & Lauren, and the new player's Whitney Gamble from Savannah, GA (who's a gymastics instructor). Show her the subjects:

1st Grade Animal Science

3rd Grade Social Studies
3rd Grade Nature
4th Grade Math
4th Grade World History

OPENING SUBJECT: World Geography

What's the only continent that has a land border with South America?

She knows that would be one of the other Americas, North.

SUBJECT 2: Cultural Studies

The U.S. state of Hawaii has two official languages. English's one of them- what's the other?

She's not sure, but she's going with Hawaiian...everybody's right!

SUBJECT #3: Nature

Which of the following clouds are between zero & 6,500 feet from the surface of the Earth?

A: Nimbostratus
B: Cirrus
C: Altocumulus

She guesses Altocumulus...her gut fails her- Jenni had the right response of Nimbostratus.

SECOND CLASSMATE: Armaan
SUBJECT #4: Math

What's the median in the following set of numbers- four, six, eight, 10 or 12?

She nails eight!

SUBJECT #5: World History

The Berlin Wall once separated East Berlin from West Berlin. Construction of the wall began in what decade?

With absolutely no clue, the Copy's used. Armman wrote down the '60s...that's the right decade to double up to $15K!

SUBJECT #6: Social Studies

The Pelican State is the official nickname of what U.S. state?

She's drawing a blank again, so she uses the Peek and takes Armaan's latest answer of Florida, which is definitely wrong, because that's The Sunshine State. Lauren wrote down the right one of Louisiana.

SUBJECT #7: Animal Science

T or F: By definition, a lioness is female.

She gets $500 back with True.

FINAL SUBJECT: Life Science

T or F: Insects are the only animals which undergo metamorphosis.

Whitney thinks that's a False statement...and that's not her final answer of the night, because it's right. What is- her announcement of Dropping Out with $1.5K.

_ / _ _ N / _ _

...and the rest of the consonants are worth $1,350 each. After Michelle shortly calls twin M's...

_ / M _ N / _ _

J!: Kara Spak goes for Win #3 tonight against:

Robert Villarreal (Pepper Pike, OH)- Online music teacher
Beth Eckerd (McKinleyville, CA)- Psychology professor

First six categories of the week:

SCULPTORS
RECENT MOVIES
GOOD OLD SOUTHERN EATS
U.S. BODIES OF WATER
"B" IN FASHION
WORDS FROM THE PERSIAN

At the first break, Spak's slightly in Lock Game Territory with $5,400, as Eckerd's in second place with $2,600; Villarreal has $800 to begin with. Two clues after the commercials have ended, Villarreal goes Daily Double Hunting in Words From the Persian...he doesn't find the DD there, but he does find it under the $800 U.S. Bodies of Water clue with $2,800; however, Spak's leading total has gotten slightly bigger to $6,400. His wager is two grand.

This Southern bay on the Atlantic Coast is part of the largest marine park in the national park system.

"What is the Tampa Bay?"...NOT it. It was the Biscayne, dropping him right back to his first-half, last-place score of $800. But he runs his score back up to $3K and is now just $200 behind Eckerd for second place; Spak's slightly up again to $6,600.

SOLE TS OF THE ROUND (unattempted): $1K (U.S. Bodies of Water)

DJ! Categories:

THE NP FOR L (each correct response is a Nobel-winning author with his/her initals displayed in the clue)

WHAT'S IN STORE?

PUT UP YOUR DUKES
FIGHT LIKE A MAN

Spak learns that the middle clue in The NP For L houses the first of the two DDs in this round, and Eckerd's added $400 to what she earned in Round 1. Of her $6,600, the champion wagers $2K of it on this clue:

In 1907: R.K. from the U.K.

"Who is Robert Knight?"...wrong. It was the author of "The Jungle Book"- Rudard Kipling, cutting her lead to $1K. Just as this round's about to end, she finds the other DD attached to the middle clue in Put Up Your Dukes. This is a really close game up to this point, because with $6,600, she's only $200 behind Eckerd and $400 ahead of Villarreal for second. She bets $400 on the following:

On the death of his father, Robert I, William the Conqueror inherited this title, as well as the region.

"What is the Duke of Normandy?"...is right for a $200 lead at $7K! And we have no more time for either of the last two clues in both that topic & Fight Like a Man.

ATTEMPTED LACH TRASH: $5,200
UNATTEMPTED LACH TRASH: $6,800
TOTAL DJ! LACH TRASH: $12K

Scores After Double Jeopardy!:

Kara: $7K
Beth: $6,800
Robert: $6,200

CORYAT SCORES:

Kara: $7K
Beth: $6,800
Robert: $8,200

There's a 4/5 betting situation going on.

FJ! SUBJECT: National Historic Sites.

Built between 1940 & 1942, Moton Field in Alabama has a national historic site honoring men belonging to this famed group.

Robert Villarreal is incorrect with "Who is the Crimson Tide". His suggested betting range was $601-$5K...but he wagered not a penny. Beth Eckerd's response was "Who are the Tuskegee airmen"...correct. Her wager was $5,601, so she'll become the new champ with $12,401 as long as Kara Spak doesn't get it also...but she does and retains the title with $13,601! Her three-night total: $52,802.
