"Pokerstars.net Million Dollar Challenge" 9/26

The second contestant this season is also female- Carmenlita Cothron from Silver Spring, MD (who is a sign language intepreter and has been deemed the "Cal Ripken of Poker" because she's played the game for six months straight). She will face NFL legend John Elway, who's playing for the Elway Foundation.

TURN: QUEEN OF DIAMONDS

John goes ALL-IN and Carmenlita calls. The only way to win the Bahamas trip now is for an eight to pop up on the river.

RIVER: 9 OF HEARTS- DOUBLER

Carmenlita: (8D)(2S)
John: (JH)(9C)

Carmenlita has middle pair and a spade flush draw, while John has two pair already. John responds to her 4K bet with a raise to ALL-IN!

If the river card is a Queen or King, we will have a split pot. If it's one of the red twos, Carmenlita will be in big trouble. Anything else and Carmenlita's going to the Bahamas.

RIVER: KING OF CLUBS- SPLIT POT

THE FLOP: (2S)(3H)(4C)

2.

Carmenlita: (QC)(10D)
Daniel: (JH)(9H)

POT: 4K
THE FLOP: 9 OF DIAMONDS AND BOTH BLACK FOURS

Carmenlita bets four large, but Daniel raises to double that amount...and she makes the continuation call.

TURN: THE OTHER BLACK QUEEN

With two black pairings for Carmenlita, Daniel goes ALL-IN...and Carmenlita has called! The only thing that can stop her from quadrupling up to $100K is a black nine.
