"Top Chef" 9/1

The two-part season finale that starts next week will take place all the way from Singapore! Remember, one of the remaining challenges will have the 2011 Toyota Avalon up for grabs.

Quickfire #12: Make a dish with a wine pairing in an hour. The winner will win a trip to London.

Guest Judge: Dana Cowin (editor-in-chief of Food & Wine)

Tiffany Derry (Two Hands Shiraz): Cocoa & black pepper-crusted Wagyu Tenderloin with Spring risotto
Kevin Sbraga (Tangley Oaks Merlot): Grilled quail w/ shaved apple fennel salad & apple vinaigrette
Angelo Sosa (Evolution White Wine): Sauteed Foie Gras w/ fennel salad & black salt
Kelly Liken (Federalist Dry Creek Zinfandel): Wild boar tenderloin w/ blackberry conserve, mache & blue cheese emulsion
Ed Cotton (Il Poggione Rosso): Grilled Wagyu Rib Eye w/ Spring potato risotto & mushroom ragout

BOTTOM TWO: Kelly & Kevin
TOP TWO: Angelo & Tiffany
WINNER: Angelo

ELIMINATON CHALLENGE #12: Create a dish that can be freeze-dried & sent into space. And this challenge is FOR THE CAR!

At Whole Foods Market this time around, the budget is $200 within a half-hour.

Guest Judge: Anthony Bourdain

Angelo: Ginger-lacquered short ribs w/ horseradish creme fraiche
Kelly: Pan-roasted halibut w/ artichoke, fennel barigoule & Salsa Verde Salad
Ed: Yogurt-marinated rack of lamb & grilled satay of lamb w/ eggplant puree & couscous croquette
Tiffany: Pan-seared Alaskan Halibut w/ coconut curry, snow pea shoots & jasmine rice
Kevin: NY Strip Steak w/ bacon-jalapeno marmalade & corn puree

The car keys (and a copy of Anthony's latest book) go to...

...Angelo for his second SWEEP of the season, joining Tiffany as the only other chef to do that in this season! In addition, his dish will also be served at the International Space Center and he's won a trip to one of the two remaining space shuttle launches at Cape Canaveral!

But the contestant NOT getting a chance to compete for this season's title in Singapore is...

...Tiffany. Ouch. But she still leaves with 20 G's and a holiday in Paris.
