LMaD: We're doing the Murse/Purse Deal right off the bat with the '70s-themed couple of Barbara & Klemen. First, Barbara keeps her purse...which has $600, but inside the silver small box (Jonathan Mangum) was a $1.5K TagHeuer watch. Secondly, Klemen hands back his Burbury murse for what's behind Curtain #1...his murse had $1,700, but they have won a trip to Graceland from The Journeymasters worth $5,285! But to end this deal, they give everything back for Curtain #2...sadly, they're going to have to participate in Jonathan's sweater party instead of leaving with anything nice.

Deal #2 is the Rock, Paper, Scissors. In this playing are Dominique (dressed as a whoopie cushion) & Chad (guitarist).

Dominique: Red- PAPER
Chad: Blue- SCISSORS

Chad walks with his $1,000 instead of trying to win the $14,578 Toyota Yaris (Curtain #2). Had he gone on with the middle object of Rock...BELIEVE IT OR NOT, HE WOULD HAVE WON THE CAR. I thought they never make the car object in this deal the middle one. That's just rare bad luck.

Kelly's the patient in the Psychiatric Deal. Wayne Brady shows her a bizarre image of a car behind Curtain #1. I can tell you right now it's the Nissan Sentra...BUT SHE DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO WINNING IT- she quickly forfeits it for $700.

Christina (dressed as a roller derby girl) rolls her way into the playing area to make a deal next. She can either have Curtain #2, Curtain #3 or what's in Wayne's secret pocket. First, she trades Curtain #3 to Jennifer (dressed as a pirate girl) and she's offered $500, $700, $800, but she gives the curtain back for a grand. Would you believe there was an automobile back there too...but it was the CLUNKER Chevy Chevette! The other curtain is handed to Dustin (who's also dressed as a guy from the '70s), and he keeps it instead of a $500 wad...he's won one of those Pier 1 Imports living rooms that includes the Toshiba 42" LCD HDTV worth $4,936! Now, Christina obviously doesn't want to give back the pocket prize for $500, and she also turns down a C-note...it's a trip to the St. James's Club ($6,171)- PERFECT DEAL!

Angelina (dressed as a $5K slot machine that just hit the jackpot), get set to complete a Blank Check.

1. Green
2. Red
3. Blue
4. Yellow

Yellow- 1
Blue- 0
Red- 4 ($401)

She thinks a car's waiting for her behind Curtain #1, so she throws away a check that was worth $1,401 for...a Waverunner ($8,399)- PERFECT DEAL #2!

In the last regular deal of the morning, David (who's wearing an afro) turns down Curtain #2 in order to take away $500 and an iPad (making it a $999 cash/prize package)...what he gave up, though, was the Everlast home gym ($3,632).

THE BIG DEAL: Angelina's trying again to win a car as part of the Big Deal of the Day worth a total of $25,085. She's staying with Door #1, and behind the middle door was a trip to Rio worth $8,490. If David (dressed as a Mexican with a sombrero on his head) were here in this position instead of her, he would've taken Door #3, and if the BD happened to be there, he will win $500...he's WRONG- there was the $3,750 kitchen. But that's great news for Angelina, who's won...not only the Ford Focus, but an $8,395 BMW GS650 GS motorcycle!

TPiR: Episode 5271K was the first episode Jeff Davis taped, and his roll call begins with Daniel Jensen, Yolanda Sallie, Tiffany Tzi & Randy Johnson (obviously not the retired major league pitcher). Lanisha's acting like a mechanic when she's showing off the first IUFB of the day- a DirecTV package.

Randy: $325
Tiffany: $200 (STAGE GARF)
Yolanda: $1K
Daniel: $326

ARP: $948

Daniel, a quality control manager, needs to decide whether to Switch? the ARPs of these prices or not- a Mitsubishi 46" LCD HDTV marked at $2,600 (Manuela) and a Golden West Billiards Table marked at $3,595 (Rachel). He thinks the correct answer to that question is Yes...YES!

Fifth is Kim Dungee and the second IUFB is an array of Michael Kors accessories (Manuela at the turntable).

Kim: $1.5K
Randy: $1,100
Tiffany: $800
Yolanda: $1,501

ARP: $1,534

Because she was off on the good side by $33, here in Studio 33, Yolanda will play Pathfinder (Rachel) for the Scion xB (Std., Security, Prot, Cover)(Lanisha at Door #3). Board:

SPs:

Libman mop: $5 or $10?
Toaster: $69 or $90?
Coffee maker: $25 or $45?

She steps to the seven as the Scion's second digit, but that's incorrect. Her first SP choice is the coffee maker and $45...no. After knowing the mop's $10, she gets the nine correct in the car price ($ 1 9 , _ _ _) before walking to the five...NO, AND THAT'S IT FOR HER. The Scion was $19,427 and the toaster was $90; she had all of the same SP guesses as my brother Andrew.

Contestant #6 is Rachel Stubb and the third IUFB is a three-piece bar set (Rachel behind rising sign).

Rachel: $1,700
Kim: $1,250
Randy: $1,701
Tiffany: $1K

WoF: Tonight's first Thursday Toss-Up is about some Things:

S M I _ _ N G

Amongst the SMILING FACES, Quinn gets on the board first with $1,000. Here he is and his female competition:

Quinn Quinbass (NYC)- Dance teacher/singer
Krista Branch (Statesboro, GA)- Couch Potato 5K Program creator (she began this charity last December)
Cristina Wright (S.F.)- A performance troupe member who's also working on her teaching credential at San Francisco State University

$2,000 Toss-Up category is People:

_ _ _ L D

L E A D _ _ S

Cristina solves WORLD LEADERS.

Gorton's Jackpot Round category is Phrase, and she calls an R to instantly pick up a GourmetGiftBaskets.com gift certificate before next spinning Lose a Turn. Secondly, Quinn calls a T for the $7,500, a $450 H, buys three A's, calls a $450 W, purchases five E's and puts up two L's for another $600, but he buys a dud vowel in I to leave $8.5K on the table. Third, Krista calls a $500 N, a $300 S, an $800 P and we have...

W E ' R E / A L L / _ N

T H E / S A _ E / P A _ E

...WE'RE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE for her first $1,600.

SOLE DUD: I (Quinn)
SOLE LaT: Cristina
LEFT BEHIND IN JACKPOT: $7,800

The Prize Puzzle Round offers up a fairly big Food & Drink puzzle. First, Quinn calls a T for the Wild Card, but then comes the Bankrupt next to the $3.5K wedge to tear it to smithereens just like that. Second, Krista calls three H's for $1,200 and buys three I's, but she then hits the other natural Bankrupt to lose the $950 right back. Third, Cristina calls a $600 W, buys four E's, but she then spins LaT for the second time tonight. Getting back to Quinn, he calls two S's for $1,400, purchases an A, lights up two L's for another $1,200 and buys an O before lighting up two R's for another $1,200 and buying the last vowel of U. After two N's for another thou (the first and last letters of this puzzle, to be exact) and three C's for another $1,800, we have...

N A _ H O S

S U _ R E _ E / W I T H

_ R I L L E _

_ H I _ _ E N

...he eats up some NACHOS SUPREME WITH GRILLED CHICKEN for another $5,850 and a trip to the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort& Spa in Cabo worth $5,400, for a new total of $12,250 in cash & Mexico.

SOLE LaT: Cristina
BANKRUPTS: 2 (Quinn, Krista)

TONIGHT'S SPIN ID: LA7974249 (Lou A. from California)

Meineke Mystery Round category is Before & After. Krista leads off by calling three N's for $2,700, buying two E's, but she then gets her first dose of LaT. Second, Cristina calls a $700 S & buys a pair of A's, followed by a T call while on the Mystery Wedge next to the Million Dollar Wedge. She flips it over...and there's the 10 grand! After that, she calls a $300 R, buys a trio of I's, but next from her is a dud of G, possibly costing her $10.5K. Quinn follows that with a $600 L but then the MDW's right Bankrupt to take that much money away immediately; that's his second one of the night. Back to Krista, who makes two O's appear while on Free Play to clean out the vowels before she lights a couple K's for another $600 and we now see...

_ A _ T A I N

H O O K

L I N E / & / S I N K E R

...she gets CAPTAIN HOOK LINE & SINKER for an extra $3,050 and a new bank readout of $4,650.

SOLE DUD: $700 G (Cristina)
SOLE LaT: Krista
SOLE BANKRUPT: Quinn

Fun & Games is the theme of the $3K TU:

A R C H E R Y

T _ R G E _

Krista gets a bit closer to Quinn by hitting the ARCHERY TARGET to make her new score $7,650.

Last Chance Round category is Same Letter and consonants are worth $1,300 apiece. After Krista calls four C's late, we have...

C _ L M / C _ _ L

& / C _ L L _ C T _ D

...she's CALM, COOL & COLLECTED for $6.5K more and steals the match with $14,150! Quinn's heading to Mexico with $12,250 in total winnings and Cristina leaves with two C-notes.

$28,400 in cash & trip was given away during this maingame.

DUDS: I (Quinn), N (Krista), P (Krista), R (Cristina), S (Cristina)

TONIGHT'S BANKRUPT TRASH (excluding WC): $1,550

Maxwell House Big Money Round: Krista Branch spins the C and the BR topic this evening's Thing. We begin with:

_ _ S _ _ / _ _ _

She calls B, M, D and O and gets...

M _ S _ _ / M _ _

...she's wrong with MUSIC MAP & MUSIC MAY. She needed the I's, because it was MUSIC MIX and she ISN'T the third Mercedes winner of the week. That means she has to drive home in her current car with a check for $14,150.

At the end of this episode, we find out that Pat lost one of his jacket's buttons, only for Rob Roman to have found it somewhere on the studio floor.

J!: With $25K in the till, Sara Wilkinson's first pair of challengers as the new champ are:

Anjali Chelliah Sawe (NYC)- Pediatric cardiologist
Theo McLauchlin (Montreal)- Graduate student

First six categories:

THE GOSPELS
THAT '70s TEAM (these clues are about sports teams)
"CO" CO.s
WOMEN'S FIRSTS
CORN-UCOPIA
ANIMATED PUZZLES

On the third clue in The Gospels after getting the $400 clue (Wilkinson was correct on the opening answer), Sawe finds the Daily Double and here's her clue for a grand:

Sin committed by the woman about whom Jesus said, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her".

After finding one in three clues to start this night, Sawe hits another DD in two this time while playing with My Name is Henry, I'll Be Your Writer. With the challengers tied for the lead with $5,600 apiece, she bets two large. Here's the clue to possibly give her sole possession of the lead:

Emerson encouraged me to start keeping a journal, which I did from 1837 until a few months before my death in 1862.

"Who is Henry...James?"...NO. It was Thoreau, dropping her to $3,600. With nine clues to go, McLauchlin possesses the other one of this round attached to the $800 clue about Ohioans. However, with $4K, he's in last place compared to Sawe's $8,800 & Wilkinson's $10,200. He puts three on the line with the following:

This Ohioan was Teddy Roosevelt's VEEP & let his name to a city in Alaska.

He does NOT know Charles W. Fairbanks, so down to a C-note he goes.
