American poker players BANNED from several online poker sites

As of yesterday, no American poker players will be allowed to play games at sites like PokerStars.net, FullTiltPoker.net, Absolute Poker & Ultimate Bet due to U.S. attorney Preet Bharara filing money laundering & fraud charges against the owners of all four of those sites.

No word yet on how this will affect the "PokerStars.net Million Dollar Challenge" & whatever major poker tournaments GSN will air later this year, if there are any; also, "High Stakes Poker" is being sponsored by PokerStars.net this season.

Various sources contributed to this report.

This is yet a bad news to both parties. For the owners who are being charge with the case, it is quite a bad impression for all the former registered players and also to all future registrants.  In addition to is the disappointment of some of the avid American Poker enthusiasts of the sites. Involved sites should resolve the issue ASAP, or else they would likely to lose revenue. Well, we just need to look forward to this case.
