Richard Dawson, the longest-tenured host of "Family Feud", HAS DIED YESTERDAY DUE TO COMPLICATIONS OF ESOPHAGEAL CANCER (& successor Ray Combs unfortunately passed away on that same day of the year, as well).
Before hosting the "Feud", Richard (who was actually born as Colin Lionel Emm in Gosport, Hampshire, England) starred in "Hogan's Heroes" & was by far the most popular panelist on the '70s version of "Match Game". He also hosted an unsold pilot of "You Bet Your Life".
Richard was 79.

If GSN has a Feud marathon, we won't be able to tell.
