"Jeopardy!" 7/11

For the past two episodes, I've seen at least one contestant finish Double J! w/ at least a negative $2K+ total; if that's not unprecedented, I'll be very surprised.

PLAYERS:

A.J. Motley (Wylie, TX)- Student of Diagnostic Sonography
Lynn Welch (Evanston, IL)- Pharmacist
CHAMPION: Prabhu Balasubramanian (whose one-day cash winnings total $9,199)

Topics to Begin:

1933

FAST FOOD
"F"-STOPS

Both men are at $3,400 each at the first stoppage; Lynn has $200 at the moment. The Daily Double's saved  until 1933's determined to be the last category used in this round...after the $400 clue, A.J. skips over the $600 one to be right on the $800 answer & then successfully picks it off from the $1K screen. This man now has seven grand in his bank, followed by Prahbu w/ $5,400 & Lynn w/ $1,400. The wager from A.J. will be two C-notes:

He came to the U.S. in 1933 & helped found the School of American Ballet.

"Who is (Rudolf) Nureyev?"...he's no longer the leader w/ that response, at least for now; the person was actually George Balanchine. He stays at $5K once Prabhu wraps up the round w/ a $1K lead over A.J. & Lynn has gone back to $800.

SOLE ATTEMPTED TS: $400 (Internationalities)
UNATTEMPTED LACH TRASH: $1,800
TOTAL LACH TRASH: $2,200

The given $1,200 piece of The Hard Stuff leads to hopefully an easy DD answer for Lynn, currently w/ $4,800; Prabhu's in second place at $8,800 & A.J.'s still in front w/ $13K. She makes the $2K gamble.

The star variety of this deep blue gemstone has other minerals embedded inside super-hard corundum.

"What is Sapphire?"...also the name of the colored envelope that resulted in a $73K+ Super Deal win on Apr. 2nd, that's the right rock for $6,800. When only The Iliad & The Odyssey remain in full, A.J. again goes DD Hunting, starting w/ $800...then $1,600 & finally success w/ the center monitor & $19,400. He holds a $9K cushion over Prabhu & Lynn's standing on $7,200. A.J.'s wager this time's just four Benjamins.

In order to retrieve this body, this man kisses the hands that killed his son.

"Who is Hector?"...King Priam. The $400 clue stays on the board as time runs out.
